> Sant Serni. Canillo
This is the parish church of Canillo, dedicated to St. Sernin. Its bell tower, of Romanesque origin, 27 m high and built in the 17th century, is the highest in Andorra and presides majestically over the village of Canillo. The church is built into the solid rock of the Roc del Quer, which gives name and identity to the parish. Canillo, which etymologically means ‘white’, comes from the whiteness of the mountain, with which it forms a whole: church and Roc del Quer.
