The first part is common to the two other via ferrata located on the canal de Mora, the start is on the left in the place where the canal begins to become more closed, at approximately the same level of the via ferrata Canal Mora variant 2. The route of Canal de Mora 1 essentially follows the clear channel. The route of Canal de Mora 2 is the same up to half way. At this point, it goes off by a spur to the right. Depending on the season of the year, the channel may hold water or ice.

   > Recommendations for doing via ferrata
  • You need to have all the material and personal equipment for the particular form of exercise (helmet, harness, device with anchorage buckles, dissipator and K safety carabiners; all this equipment must be homologated) and suitable footwear 
  • Do not attempt this itinerary if you have no experience of mountains. 
  • Before starting on the via, check on the weather conditions.
  • Keep yourself linked to the safety cable as a matter of routine. 
  • Avoid going in groups and try to ensure that you are the only person between two anchorage points. 
  • Never leave the marked itinerary.
  • Beginners are recommended to obtain the services of a guide or monitor.
  • Except in the case of providing help in the event of accidents, do not use the fixed elements of the via ferrata (cables, footrests, chains, etc.) for anything else than the classical progress in routes of this type. 
  • It is absolutely prohibited to use zip-lines, hoists and to rappel down. 
The Commune of Canillo accepts no responsibility for any incident which may result from the misuse of the via ferrata. The user, before starting, must accept that he does so under his own civil, criminal and personal responsibility and to third parties, with respect to falls, loose rock or other incidents. Also, this via must always be attempted taking into account the technical and physical capacities of each user.
